The 60" model is built for grooming a classic ski trail. The 84" model is built for preparing skating lanes and classic skiing. The 84" model can be used with one or two tracksetters. The 108" model is built for ATVs or the Alpina Sherpas. If you have any questions about more specific needs of your area, please contact us. The specifications for each Ginzugroomer size are listed in the Snowmobile Grooming Equipment section.
How much will it cost to ship my equipment?
We ship all our equipment with Con-Way freight company. We charge you what the freight company charges us. To determine what the freight charges will be for your order, we need a zip code or postal code for the delivery address. Freight charges are determined by weight, so first we need to know what it is that you want to order. Gooseneck hitches, tracksetters, weights, etc., all add to the weight of the crate, so have an idea of what you want before asking for a freight rate (if possible! We are happy to help you decide what is best for your area). There is also a crating fee. 60" and 84" Ginzugroomers, along with standard Rollers, are $75 per crate. 108" Ginzugroomers and Jumbo rollers are $100 per crate.
What about shipments to Canada?
YTS ships direct to all Canadian Provinces. You will need a Custom Broker to clear the shipment at the border. You can use any broker of your choosing or we can provide you with an excellent broker that does "one time shipments" to all provinces. Once you set up an account with a broker, we can ship your groomer to you.
Will I need to order parts for my groomer?
We are happy to say we rarely sell any parts for YTS groomers. The most often sold part is replacement snow comb and we can easily ship this via mail or UPS when needed. We do not recommend purchasing extra parts when you order your groomer.
Will I need to assemble my groomer when it arrives?
YTS implements are ready to go once you uncrate them. The Ginzugroomers need to be wired to the snowmobile to work the actuators, and the snow wing screws need to be tightened (we ship them with loosened screws to ensure the wings do not break in shipping), yet otherwise the groomer is ready to use. Rollers and drags are ready to use once you uncrate them.
Do I need a special snowmobile to pull YTS equipment?
You will need a "work" snowmobile to groom effectively with YTS equipment (other than the lightweight tracksetter). This is a snowmobile that has a wide track, low range, reverse, and is FAN cooled. We feel dealer support is essential in what snowmobile you decide on. If you have a Yamaha dealer close by, it may be best to go with the Yamaha VK Professional. If you only have a Skidoo dealer in town, you may want to consider the Skidoo Skandic SWT. We believe having a dealer that can service your snowmobile and get you parts in a timely fashion is critical in choosing your snow machine. Most snowmobile manufacturers build a "work" sled, some work better than others for grooming cross country ski trails. Please call us if you want to discuss particular models.
How far ahead do I need to order my equipment?
Every season is different here at YTS. We recommend ordering your equipment early (summer or early fall) to ensure that you can have it delivered when you need it. Some years we do sell out our Ginzugroomers, yet we keep building all winter long, so if you are reading this in winter, there may still be hope for your area. Call or E-mail us for availability.
How do I place an order?
We usually ask that orders are placed over the phone. Sometimes, especially in the case of foreign countries, we can do most of the correspondence by E-mail. If you are in the US or Canada, talking with us directly (or sending us your phone number in an E-mail, we are happy to call you back!) is necessary for setting up an account and getting all the information necessary for your order. We are now asking for a 25% deposit at the time your order is placed. If you provide us with a purchase order we will waive the deposit, or in other special circumstances. We are a small business and deposits help us with our costs in the summer months.
Do you accept payment by credit card?
Yes! We are also able to email invoices that contain a link for online payments.
